Call for Late-Breaking Abstracts: SAR's 2019 Conference

Acupuncture Research, Health Care Policy, & Community Health...Closing the Loop
Hosted by: University of Vermont
Sponsored by: Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital; Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont; American Society of Acupuncturists; and

American Academy of Medical Acupuncture; and Veterans Health Administration - Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation

The theme for Society for Acupuncture Research’s 2019 conference will explore how research findings need not only to inform "best" clinical practice, but also inform decisions made by policy makers and third-party payers regarding insurance reimbursement.  The aim will be toward closing the information "loop" between acupuncture researchers, clinicians, policy makers, and third-party payers.  The conference will also provide an international forum for researchers to clarify, strengthen, and disseminate the evidence base and shape the future acupuncture research agenda, including presentations of the latest advances in acupuncture research. Abstracts on all aspects of acupuncture research are welcome!

Late-breaking abstracts are being solicited for presentations in the areas of clinical research, basic science and research methodology pertaining to acupuncture and other modalities of East Asian medicine including moxibustion, traditional herbs, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong.

Late-breaking abstract submissions will be reviewed by the conference Scientific Review Committee and prospective presenters will be informed as soon as decisions are made as to whether their research has been accepted for a poster presentation (NOTE: Late-breaking abstracts are for poster presentation only – abstracts to be presented orally have already been selected.)
